To invest in peoples and communities who ethically source their apparel brand and have similar passions for sustainability within the fashion world. After working in fashion for 10 years, I understand the strains and gains of the fashion world on the economy and on the planet. Fast fashion is the 2nd dirtiest industry after oil, contributing to landfill. Customers are beginning to become more mindful of where they are investing their money and I would love to be part of that drive to educate and create communities and local industry again. Based in Stoke-on-Trent, the main industries are pottery, logistics, warehouse, distribution & service industries like pubs & hotels. There is a need for a new industry, Stoke has a great central location & opportunity for investment in tourism & retail for the future. The idea of working around different markets is to meet people and spread the word of this exciting new era of fashion. As well as selling online globally.

What we'll deliver:

  • Invest in young people in the area and build their business skills
  • Keep the markets alive with a new younger customer
  • New Era of Fashion Sustainability

Why it's a great idea:

To bring a younger customer back to the markets and increase social awareness, get more conversation back to the streets and not online. Markets were a place to exchange goods, gossip and information in person. We need to bring this back to life, a sense of community and belonging. Also contributing to sustainable fashion, and exporting British made apparel.

Steps to get it done:

  • Setting up a wesbite
