We are looking to open a small cinema in our local community hall for families , youth clubs small school groups young and old to come an see films and show case any work they have produced. It will be a platform for organisations to promote what they are offering within the community. The stage will be set up for live performances from groups of all ages. We will also welcome professions acts which wil be an opportunity to bring in an income to help pay for other activities which will be offered for the community. We want to bring back the Lill to it former glory which was a place where people enjoyed an evening out without the high costs of London, and inspire young people to learn new skills and embrace our diverse community and celebrate all that we have have to offer. We hope this will increase footfall to the area and support local enterprise.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Entertainment is for everyone and we know that the local and wider community will benefit by attending show that the youth, schools, local talent will perform, open the door to the arts and enable wider organisations to provide training in acting, dance, sound and stage. The cinema will offer a small space for families , youth and older people to come and for young people and others to show case their films. Also organisations will be able to promote what they are offering with the community. We know that there is a need as we lost the Drama hall a few years ago and we know that by just opening these door it will lead to other things, and will allow us to offer more activities to our local community.
Steps to get it done:
We have the skills we know it is needed and by providing the funding we will have an amazing centre again which will bring people together and break down barriers and enhance new skills.
