The school woodland theatre project. Is an idea to involve communities , and all age groups . I will give a talk in the village hall explaining . How a school woodland theatre could become a hub for the community to connect with nature, the local school and forest school teachers will be advised by the local coppice group on how to create the theatre, teaching, advising on rural skills that will enable the children to create the sets and costumes for each play, encourage secondary school pupils to mentor primary school pupils. Create habitat, record the flora and fauna in the area at the start and throughout the year. Have inter school/ village competition to create connections, interests and inspire, give regular talks at village halls to encourage community ideas.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
This idea has a fantastic potential as it helps create biodiversity, learning, teaching, it allows communities to do something positive for nature in a time of great crisis, when the world problems seem insurmountable, it will promote fresh growth that will absorb more co2, an inspired community has the potential to enthuse others with their experience, thereby creating more interest, if each village connects which no doubt they will ,then the sky is the limit.
Steps to get it done:
The landowner will benefit as the woodland would be looked after. Community can learn rural skills. Commodities for the village ie bean poles , pea sticks, logs , kindling. Encourage mental health and wellbeing.
