The building will center around a meeting room capable of seating up to about 30 people. There will be accessible toilets with baby-changing facilities. A servery will allow preparation of light refreshments. The exterior will provide level access from adequate parking and to the existing church building to which it is connected by a short passage, giving mutual sharing of facilities and joint or independent activities. The external finish will be of green oak or larch, blending into the environment of the Weston Turville Conservation Area. The meeting room will be attractive, warm and comfortable with floor to ceiling windows overlooking Chilterns countryside and farmland. WiFi access will be provided.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Existing local facilities are already heavily booked and with over 5,000 new houses planned, some already completed, there will be great demand for these facilities. Many groups are unable to find accommodation for regular or occasional meeting places. There is a need and established demand for groups offering social, educational, sporting, medical, advisory, technical, heritage, hobbies etc for children and young families, the elderly, disabled or disadvantaged, lonely and many new residents coming into the area.
