Providing support and funding to cricket clubs across the country as they return to cricket.
The COVID-19 lockdown restrictions have had a major impact on Brailsford Cricket Club. It has meant the total loss of the source of our income which relates entirely from the playing of recreational cricket. This is because we are not recieving any player subscriptions, match-day playing fees, bar and food sales, match day sponsorship, and we are unable to arrange our normal social fund raising events and activities. Fixed costs still remain with bills still to pay including ground rent, insurance, security and ground and facilities maintenance. This totals in excess of £4,000 pounds. We want to continue to provide and improve our cricket offer for the local community and we are asking for your help to cover some of these costs. Any money that is donated will attract match funding from the England & Wales Cricket Board so please try to give generously but all donations great or small will be greatly appreciated and help to ensure the future of the club.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The Government lockdown restrictions have had a massive impact on the physical and mental well-being of people of all ages. Cricket is a great form of exercise for people irrespective of age or gender and a social event bringing people together. We want to be ready and able to offer this again as soon as restrictions are lifted even if it is in an adapted form so that some cricket can be provided this summer. We have a thriving junior membership and no doubt the boys and girls have been looking forward to playing cricket and plans are in place to deliver amended ECB All Stars and Dynamo programes for the 5 to 9 age group along with the other Junior age groups if possible. With your help we are looking to restore some normality back to life and what better way than cricket on a sunny summers afternoon..
Steps to get it done:
What we need to do and why we need your support Have a practical plan in place and ready to go to provide some form of cricket for all ages this season. Maintain the ground and facilities to enable cricket to be played Raise funds to achieve these objectives -
