The Archetype Dance Team is a street dance group comprising of 20 members united by their passion for dance and performance. For the past year, the team's regular training base has been at the IVO community space in Tottenham, North London. Here, we have worked on several winning competition pieces, such as World of Dance UK. On returning home from the World of Dance Finals in Los Angeles, the team would like to roll out their success to disadvantaged young people living in the local area who are interested in dance as a hobby, craft and/or art form. We plan to deliver weekly street dance classes at IVO to engage young people in the discipline and in the performing arts in general. We hope to promote healthier lifestyle habits and foster personal development and growth through an emphasis on movement, discipline and training as well as mutual respect, teamwork and enjoyment. We also wish to modernise our community space to make it more functional, vibrant and accessible to all. .
