City Farm has been established for nearly 40 years and offers a wide range of therapeutic and opportunities[MSOffice1]  via animal husbandry, horticulture and the different aspects of running a visitor attraction. It is a unique working farm based in St. Ann’s, an urban area of multiple deprivation near the centre of Nottingham. It also provides a free and ‘green’ visitor’s attraction by opening the farm, gardens, cafe and small shop every day of the week.

We have a reputation for being busy and productive but also an oasis and safe haven, for bringing different groups together as a working team or community with shared interests, for being flexible to meet individual as well as group needs, and for ‘giving 100%’ to running a good project with often limited resources.

As our mission states, we are a charity that uses its unique farm environment to improve the lives and well-being of a range of beneficiaries. This includes empowering disadvantaged people, developing the community around us and protecting the local environment. The Farm does this work as a user-led project and acknowledges and celebrates the vital contribution of its diverse beneficiaries and local residents.
