Facilitating a Free cultural development media production program for young people aged between 16-25 from BAME and disadvantaged communities in Ealing.
Giving young people the opportunity to learn how to use a range of digital media equipment and software editing/live streaming programs. They will gain practical experience in storytelling, researching, planning, capturing and producing content for our podcasts, websites, events, social media and live-streaming events. With our multiple successful events and programs where young people from all walks of life are given the opportunity to take part in arts for free. We have acknowledged that with the impact of Covid-19 and the dangerous temptations peer-group or street culture it’s crucial that young people are given opportunities to be creative and have a voice whiles empowering and nurturing them. It will encourage interaction, social integration, social equality, gender equality and freedom of expression amongst the young generation. Provide creative process for young participants and with an opportunity to create a digital portfolio with potential careers in the media industries.

Why it's a great idea:
Providing free professional training for young people to learn & build new skills by empowering and giving young people from all walks of life an opportunity to be inspired. It will provide a positive outlet after Covid-19 circumstances and Increase the likelihood of young people developing and engage in creativity safely exploring, learn, make, create, socialise, watch, and talk to each other irrespective of where they live, gender, race, religion or financial circumstances they are in. By providing educational media production workshops it will increase choice and opportunities for all to experience & be inspired whilst focusing on youth development, promoting diversity, physical and mental well-being. It will also provide volunteering and paid work opportunities for those who want to pursue creative paths and develop leadership roles. Providing multiple skills to help young people make decisions, think critically/creatively and communicate effectively.
Steps to get it done:
With our on-going events, collaboration, growing network and experience in working in the creative industry with Artists, TV and brands such as E4, Virgin, Adidas, Dunkin Donuts, T-Pain, Jay Sean, Lil Wayne and many more international artists on a number of music videos and projects. It has the potential to provide creative development opportunities for young individuals to gain knowledge and skills to pursue career paths in the creative media industry and digital content creation. Throughout 2020 and 2021 we have worked and collaborated with a local charity organisation ARTification where we hosted multiple online events and in-person events at their Community hub. With the support of charity organisation ARTification we have been given the opportunity to hold our creative development program at their community centre with the facility to carry out our program in a safe friendly environment in the heart of North Acton.
