We are desperate! It rains inside as well as out. Help us install new modular buildings so that we can enjoy socially interacting over coffee, use the loo easily and change when necessary! HELP!

We are currently housed in an old shipping container which leaks most of the year as the lining absorbs the rain and slowly releases it drop by drop! We can get maybe two wheelchairs in but then no-body else can get in - or we can leave the wheelchair users outside and get others in: either way it is totally impractical and not at all pleasant. We are committed to making our space a great place to be so that when everyone has cycled we can enjoy a tea or coffee together and encourage each other as well as celebrate achievements and effort. With over 400 cyclists taking part every week just at our Wythenshawe Park venue it is becoming increasingly difficult to manage in such a dilapidated space. Every week we have participants with physical, sensory and learning disabilities, those with autistic spectrum disorders, mental health issues as well as their parents, carers and siblings. Everyone is welcome but our space doesn't help us proclaim that.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
It will improve the community space not just for us but for the three athletics clubs who use the space as well as the weekly Park Run and the local softball club. We won't have to use umbrellas, buckets and rain capes when we sit indoors fort a chat or to sign people in! It will increase the capacity for marginalised and vulnerable people of all ages to socialise and improve communication skills as well as a sense of well-being and inclusion. It will create further volunteering opportunities for those who like to make tea and coffee and chat to our participants. Generally - it will make the small world we live and operate in a much better place and encourage us to spread our wings to participate in the big wide world out there.
