Sibford Ferris has a small, safe play area for children aged <12years, which has been funded and maintained through the Parish Council, various grants and fundraising efforts over the past 22 years. The play area is regularly used by local children, however the existing timber play equipment is suffering from timber rot and needs replacing. We are raising funds to go towards covering the cost of the designing and installing new equipment and replacing the existing perimeter fence. Our vision is to provide a modern, vibrant and safe play area for our children, with seating areas for adults. We would like to ask for contributions towards the cost of individual pieces of equipment that we have selected after listening to the views of local children, parents and carers.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Local children love to use the Play Area and have been using it for the past 22 years. With the existing equipment in decline, we want to be able to continue providing a safe area for young children from The Sibfords and nearby villages. We have listened to the views of local children, parents and carers about what they want for the play area and have taken this into consideration with the design.
Steps to get it done:
The Play Area is situated at the end of Cotswold Close in Sibford Ferris and can also be accessed via the school playing field.
