Every person has a talent. However, intellectual development and potential creative and scientific skills and talents need to be properly nurtured and fully supported. Otherwise, what might have been a talent, may turn out as a demotivated and under-performing teenager/young adult. On the other hand, senior citizens are quite often nowadays left to slowly degrade, and many lose self-esteem by feeling no longer valued nor useful As a social enterprise, we have a dual mission: i. to help enhance young people's creative and scientific skills and potential talents, independently of socio-economic-cultural background, but with a focus on supporting the cultural and intellectual development of young people from families with lesser economic means; ii. to help support and nurture life-long skills of senior citizens, especially those with early signs of dementia, by keeping them focused on revisiting lifelong skills and remain intellectually active and feel proud as valued members of society.

What we'll deliver:

  • inspiring scientific and creative workshops for young and senior ciizens
  • contribute to support intellectual development of local children from low income families
  • create a shared space for scientific dissemination and promotion of local talent

Why it's a great idea:

Contributes to increase the intellectual living quality of ageing members of the community; Inspires creative thinking in young local residents Develops and promotes potential scientific talent of young local residents. Helps support low income families by nurturing their children's skills and potential talents in a safe, fun and relaxing extra curricular learning environment Creates a shared space for knowledge dissemination and improves the local quality of living of local residents, leading to the borough's increased visibility and potential socio-economic and cultural value.

Steps to get it done:

  • at least 20 children aged 3 to 5 years old will enrol every session
  • at least 20 children aged 6 to 8 years old will enrol every session
  • at least 20 young people aged 9 and over will enrol every session
  • at least 15 children aged 3 to 5 will want to enrol in future sessions
  • at least 15 children aged 6 to 8 will want to enrol in future sessions
  • at least 15 children aged 9 and over will want to enrol in future sessions
  • at least one family will get support from the project every year

Arts, Culture and Heritage: i. our workshops interlink Science and Art (Art inpisred by Science, Science with Sprinkles of Art); ii. the junior Cello Ensemble will contribute to promote music in the community, and may inspire potential new musicians at heart; iii. supports local artistic skills and potential heritage by inviting ageeing members of the community.to feel valued and remain intellectually active by revisiting long lost skills, crafts and techniques. Boost the local economy: by attracting local and external visitors and potential investors, create jobs and promote cultural and scientific events. Increase Volunteering, Jobs and Education: being inclusive and open to young and senior citizen participation will contribute to raising education goals for the younger cohorts, and attract volunteers and investors. Promotes Activity and Leisure by means of the activities open to the public and accessible to local residents. Helps the environment by refurbishing unoccupied premises
