Every young person has a talent. As highly complex and highly intelligent beings, however, kids' intellectual development and potential skills and talents need to be properly nurtured and fully supported, otherwise, what might have been a talent, may turn out as a demotivated and underperforming teenager/young adult. Whilst better-off children are often exposed to a diverse set of extra-curricular activities and have also often further support at home, children from less fortunate family backgrounds may not have the chance of having their skills and potential talents recognised and nurtured, and will risk to be forever demotivated if merely exposed to the limited options standard school time may provide. Our goal as a social enterprise is to help enhance young people's creative and scientific skills and potential talents, independent of socio-economic-cultural background, but with a focus on supporting the cutural and intellectual development of young people with lesser means.

What we'll deliver:

  • inspiring scientific and creative workshops for young people ages 3 to 15
  • contribute to support intellectual development of local children from low income families

Why it's a great idea:

Inspire creativity Develop skills and promote potential talent Enhance scientific knowledge Increase environmental awareness Improve cultural standards Help support low income families by nurturing their children's skills and potential talents in a safe, fun and relaxing extra curricular learning environment

Steps to get it done:

  • at least 20 children aged 3 to 5 years old will enrol every session
  • at least 20 children aged 6 to 8 years old will enrol every session
  • at least 20 young people aged 9 and over will enrol every session
  • at least 15 children aged 3 to 5 will want to enrol in future sessions
  • at least 15 children aged 6 to 8 will want to enrol in future sessions
  • at least 15 children aged 9 and over will want to enrol in future sessions
  • at least one family will get support from the project every year

We are here to offer inclusive* and individualized support both to all those highly promising young people and to their parents/guardians: to keep and enhance the young talents beyond what daily school and curriculum challenges expose them to and the extra-curricular opportunities the schools may provide. * inclusive in the sense that, even though we are not experts in special needs, we welcome and will accomodate in al sessions young people with learning disabilities (minor to moderate) be it autism, hyperactivity, attention deficit syndrom, or simply because they are either too shy or too extrovert, too keen on a specific suject area, or not apparently keen on anything in particular. Whichever learning style and focus each child may require, they are most welcome.
