About the Royal Society of Wildlife Trusts
There are 47 individual Wildlife Trusts covering the whole of the UK, the Isle of Man and Alderney. Our united vision of an environment rich in wildlife for everyone, supported by our missions of A Living Landscape and Living Seas provides a backdrop for our work, whilst looking after and helping nature to recover in local places across the UK. Our position at the heart of local communities, puts us in a good position to develop and maintain effective relationships with people from different parts of society. Each year we work with millions of people from all different backgrounds helping them to understand nature's fundamental importance to their lives so that they are inspired to take action for it.
About the Lancashire Wildlife Trust
We are part of the Wildlife Trusts movement, the UK's leading conservation charity dedicated to all wildlife. We are your local charity, working hard to improve your local area for wildlife and for you. The Trust manages over 2,000 acres of some of the region's most precious wild places in the form of 37 nature reserves and 20 Local Nature Reserves. These provide places where wildlife can thrive and people can relax and enjoy the wealth of our natural heritage.
About the Red Squirrel Project
The Red Squirrel Project works to maintain red squirrels in the Merseyside and West Lancashire Stronghold through control of grey squirrels, monitoring of squirrel populations and public engagement. A small team is based at our office in Seaforth, but project work is conducted throughout the stronghold.
