Every last Friday of the month from 8am-12pm at Haggerston Community Centre, we would provide the community with breakfast, goody bags and lunch. During the concourse of the day, we would hold advice sessions, provide help on domestic issues, health check-ups, and job hubs and hold other basic need workshops. There will be activities on these Fridays and entertainment from speakers and artists. We want to endorse a place where they can feel at home. A place where they are reminded that they are not alone. A chance to remind them not to give up on hope. A home that they can feel safe. This is not just any homeless project. This is a platform for all those that think they are invisible. This is a chance for us to end the cycle of homelessness. Today we challenge the perception that homeless people are not human. This could have been one of us. This was me 3 years ago on the streets of New York. This was me when I thought I could not make it. This was me 1 year ago and could be you.

Someone was there for me and gave me a chance. So I want to do the same again for those who have no one. I want to tell you that you are not alone. In the Sapphire Community Group, you have a “Second Home”. We want to make things happen. Homelessness is on the rise and it is time we all do something about this.

The Sapphire Community Group seeks to help young people find out what they are meant to do in life. We aim to do this through mentoring, coaching, publishing literature, film and media, through multiple events technological development and hosting workshops. We aim to provide a platform and pathway for young people all over the world to find their callings. Additionally, we will attempt to help each individual believe that they can create the change for the extraordinary. We aim to teach and inspire individuals to believe within and to help maximise them to their fullest potential.
We have multiple young people roaming the streets, because they believe that the world has given up on them or they believe that they do not have what it takes to create the impossible. Therefore, The Sapphire Group is stepping in to give a voice to the voiceless. The Sapphire Community Group is here to tell our young, that they are good enough! Moreover, tell them that there is nothing they cannot achieve if they are willing to go the extra mile to achieve the unattainable today.
