The London Borough of Havering (LBH) Council is an outer London Local Authority. The Community Engagement Team work with residents to improve service and bring communities together. We serve a population of approximately 250,000 residents. 30% of households in Havering have one or two adults with children under the age of 16. With a high volume residents it is important to provide green space for children to play and for our residents to visit. We would like to provide a pocket park at the back of a community centre that offers outdoor gym equipment, walking trails. This would provide activity's for the residents and make good use of unused and uncared for land

What we'll deliver:

  • creating an outdoor space for local residents
  • promote health and wellbeing

Why it's a great idea:

Create a space for local people and children to enjoy the outdoor world while regenerating unused land to create pride in the area and deter anti social behaviour.

Steps to get it done:

  • clearance of the area
