Our playground is old and tired. Unlike our children, who are bursting with energy and creativity!

We'd like to give them a fun space to play that will challenge their bodies and keep them fit and stimulate their imaginations.
We have a diverse range of spaces in our school playground - paved areas, wooded spaces and climbing frames. They could provide a fantastic place for our children to play and relax, giving them a variety of options to choose how they spend their break times.
However, they desperately need rejuvenating. Our plan is to upgrade all the different areas and bring them together into a cohesive whole, making a playground that meets the different needs of all the children.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Fresh air and exercise are vitally important for children, as is having a safe place to relax and play between lessons. But like all state funded schools, Rushmore's budget is being squeezed ever tighter. Happily, the school has some budget available, but this will not cover all the things that need to be improved in the playground.
Rushmore School is an important part of the local community,... Alan - what else to add here??
Steps to get it done:
This project isn't all about money. We also need time, enthusiasm and different skills to get this done. If you think you could lend a hand, doing anything from fundraising or building benches, please press on the volunteer button above.
