Rickmansworth Town Team CIC was set up in September 2013 to essentially support Rickmansworth in organising events for the Town. We are a bunch of diverse, but like minded people who just want to see that our town gets the same lovely things that others do in areas of the district where there are Parish Councils.
Parish councils have access to funding and can make funding applications to enable them to give grants for nice things like hanging baskets, Christmas lights, event organisation and sponsorship. We do not, although we pay more or less the same to Three Rivers District as anyone in a parished area.
So, we decided that for the lack of a parish council, our town should not suffer.... we now organise the Christmas Evening and we have just organised the first Rickmansworth Folk Festival. These are not the only events that we want to put on, we are hoping that we will be able to organise a Film Festival, develop a heritage trail and run a Work Hub.
