Re-Store gives a sense of purpose and achievement to long term jobless people giving the a platform to sell some of their creative work without it effecting their benefits. The project would be self funding giving the clients a sense of community worth and building confidence. This confidence could lead to the client setting up their own business or getting back into employment and is a stepping stone to show them what they can achieve

What we'll deliver:

  • Buy art materials
  • make merchandise with some of the clients own designs
  • set up an online shop and website to promote the project and sell the products

Why it's a great idea:

To use creativity to build up people who have been in crisis in order to help them rebuild their lives. Its part of a recovery program that will help people who are long term jobless for various reasons. Some are recovering from addiction and some have depression and other debilitating illnesses. Helping people connect with their creativity helps them see that their are new possibilities. It builds self-esteem and give a sense of achievement. People connected with each when they create things and open up emotionally this helps people stay in recovery through community, and gives a sense of achievement and purpose

Steps to get it done:

  • Helping people see their creative side and gain confidence and a sense of achievement
  • selling more work from our shop window and social media sites
  • selling our first piece at the Etsy Artist selling website
  • Helping someone back into work
  • Helping someone set up their own business

Anyone supporting this project will be able to see the results on our Esty page and our facebook group where we take picture of the group in action. You will also have the satisfaction of helping long term unemployed people build confidence, be encouraged to develop through creativity, stay in recovery and seek new employment through our encouragement. We have also helped some people set up their own business.
