Replace Village Hall which is like a large corrugated hut to a new build to provide facilities for all, the elderly, young, disabled in this isolated rural area.

The present village hall built in 1900 is cold, has no kitchen or toilets for the less mobile and no outside area. But great community, many elderly and developing healthy and cultural activities and a lovely rural setting. We have been granted £290,000 towards a new building but require £400,000 for a simple build of smallish hall, meeting room, kitchen, toilets and outside areas with 99 year lease. There are no shops or regular transport so this is the hub of the community providing for all. The pressure from our funding bodies is to start building work by January 2020.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
This is one of the most beautiful areas tucked away in North Northumberland but the community have suffered a village hall for many years which is freezing in winter, mouse intrusion, cramped and excluding some from access. The vibrant community deserve a centre to be comfortable to develop more social, cultural and health activities.
Steps to get it done:
Rural areas are the place to be - working from home, not isolated and safe. The cakes at the coffee mornings are to die for!
