The park was established in 1887 to mark and celebrate Victoria’s Golden Jubilee. The park sits within the conservation area of St Paul’s and is a treasured piece of Victoriana in west London, particularly so in Brentford which is undergoing huge change. This year marks the 130th anniversary of the park so in a perfect world if we could get these works underway this year.

The recreation ground is much loved and much used and as mentioned previously is a treasured piece of Victoriana in Brentford which is undergoing huge development. Therefore it's important to acknowledge and treasure the few remaining parts of the areas past and heritage.
