One of our aims is to restore the original Victorian features of the ground such as the railings, obelisk and water fountain.

The park was established in 1887 to mark and celebrate Victoria’s Golden Jubilee. The park sits within the conservation area of St Paul’s and is a treasured piece of Victoriana in west London, particularly so in Brentford which is undergoing huge change. This year marks the 130th anniversary of the park so in a perfect world if we could get these works underway this year.

What we'll deliver:

  • Primarily restore the railings.
  • Secondly, restore the obelisk.

Why it's a great idea:

The recreation ground is much loved and much used and as mentioned previously is a treasured piece of Victoriana in Brentford which is undergoing huge development. Therefore it's important to acknowledge and treasure the few remaining parts of the areas past and heritage.
