We simply require our redundant tennis courts to be brought into use again by the community and local schools.

The tennis courts are part of a 24 acre sports field. Twenty of the acres are owned by a Rugby Club. The remaining 4 acres was fence off from use about 5 years.

Why it's a great idea:
You will know how important sport is, and in this part of the Council Area there is an extreme shortage of green open space.We have two local schools who have no sports field of their own. It is important,therefore,the sport is provided to our school children.

VolunteerCreffield Area Residents Association (CARA) was established in 1975 with the aim of preserving the distinctive character of this Edwardian garden suburb, and to foster a feeling of community spirit. As well as campaigning on matters of local interest, CARA runs four social events a year, and is in the process of establishing a number of special interest Clubs.
Within the our area is a local sports field of some 24 acres. 20 acres is used by a rugby club,whilst the remainding 4 acres has been fenced off from use. This area consists of tennis courts,bowling green,and 5-a -side football pitch. These facilities were used by two local schools and the community until some 5 years ago when the owner fenced them off. We have since written to the said owner to ask that we refurbish the tennis courts with funding from London Borough of Ealing under their project TYS.
