Help make Tower Hamlets a great place to live, work and play
Pathways Trust complementary health clinic in Bethnal Green, supports the wellbeing of the local community. Our patients are often those who have chronic health conditions. We prioritise serving those from low-income backgrounds, as well as those from all other walks of life. We provide high quality, low cost physio, massage, acupuncture, Chinese medicine and craniosacral therapy. The problem is our premises is falling apart and not properly fit for purpose at current. The refurbishment project promises to repaint and redecorate so that it can really thrive and function to help even more people. We will do this by adding another treatment room and redesigning the interior. This will benefit all that we help in the East London area. Our clients themselves initiated the project by reporting to practitioners who then fed back to management and trustees. This is how we know it will best serve our community as the idea is community-driven.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Local service users who come in for acupuncture, massage, physio and other treatments will be able to relax in a welcoming and clean environment. The clinic will appeal to more people if it is a more aesthetic, and calming place to be. The community serves to benefit from what we're doing at the Pathways Trust. We collaborate with Mind in Tower Hamlets and Newham to provide acupressure to our residents suffering from mental health problems and we collaborate with Globe Community Project to provide free courses of treatments to local Refugee and Migrant women. As well as treating those who cannot reach our lowest pay-bracket we also help thousands of local on a sliding scale of fees. We want to do do in a positive, appropriate premises! Our project will enrich the local area and be a valuable resource for the community to access low cost therapies in a smart looking clinic.
