Our project aims to regenerate local services in the Walpole area. By Re-building the Muhammad Ali Centre with playing fields. The Centre will be fully accessible for local people in Huddersfield.

Aim of our project is to conduct a feasibility study into the redevelopment of the Muhammad Ali Centre in Walpole, Huddersfield. Funding will ensure improved healthier lives in Huddersfield Our plans are to develop the site so that it's able to provide distinctive physical, well-being and cultural support to the Communities we serve. https://vimeo.com/399112514 The Centre will • have a cafe, play space and new changing rooms. • be made from environment sustainable material. • be managed as a registered charity. • have both staff and volunteers. • have diverse funding sources. • be inclusive, accessible and enabling. • inspire others to replicate our idea and passion to provide practical support in their communities Outcomes include: • 50 volunteer roles • 30 Jobs • Reduced social isolation/loneliness. • Improve confidence and resilience. • Greater Social/Community Cohesion. • Improve Health and Well-being.

Using local people, resources and assets. • We will engage with all residents in the design/ development of the Centre. • We shall provide low income families opportunities to access affordable learning, sporting and community facilities on their doorstep. Your financial Support will replace negativity with purposeful living • The Centre will have a range of sports, arts and Heritage space enabling all ages to be culturally sensitive and aware of difference. • We will be creating enterprise zones for new start up and social enterprises that support all age groups. • Communities working together in partnership
Steps to get it done:
Since our Fire in April 2019, we have been seeking support and help from a range of people who can support us with our rebuild project. Your donations/ funding support will be practically used to achieve lasting change in a deprived community ward which has significant levels of poverty, social isolation and unemployment in Huddersfield. Funding will be used to: • Register the Charity • Stationary • Fund a feasibility study/business plan. • Employ a project Team • Pay for leaflets/Banner • Pay for venue hire for meetings for project steering group • Pay for a Temporary project manager • Pay for venue hire for community consultation • Pay expenses for volunteers • Pay for a final report • Pay for a laptop • Pay for a community meeting to Launch findings and recommendations • Demolition Costs • Drawing for new Centre, Playing Fields and Park • Secure our boundaries • Talk to key Partners • Secure planning permission • Please offer your support, every pound counts.
