This project was funded on 23 Jun 2020!

We are hoping to raise funds to reboost our junior section to following it’s interruption due to COVID-19. The restarting of junior sports is on high up on our priority list upon any resumption! Not only do we want to get kids active but helping them reintegrate with one another following isolation! By having more equipment and coaches we can accommodate more kids into cricket - giving them the sporting kick-start that is seen as a barrier into cricket! We hope to build on relationships built on the adversity of covid-19 to build the local community as well as sports

What we'll deliver:

  • Buy new training equipment
  • Invest in local communities to help after covid-19
  • Train new coach(es) to help with new starters to the sport

Why it's a great idea:

We are wanting to restart sport in Redcar and Cleveland following its break in 2020! Getting the children back active and social again, playing a team sport with minimal contact (so no contamination worries)! With new equipment and coaches we can have more children attend and allow more activity

Steps to get it done:

  • purchase of training equipment
  • purchase of team kit to allow new starters to partake in the sport
  • purchase of starter protective equipment to remove the initial cost barrier
