Having aquired an additional plot of land the aim is to install play equipment and create a recreational space to cover a wide age range. The results of 2 questionnaires and a series of "Open Meetings" has identified what is required, by parish residents, by way of facilities in this new space.
We have the support of our parish council and local authorities in our endeavours to bring a much needed social facility to our village.
The project will be managed by Over Haddon Village Hall Management Committee (OHVHMC) via a specially formed sub-committee. OHVHMC has the necessary skills to manage/control a project of this kind.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
This is a long overdue community project which will help to cement a cohesive and inclusive community which currently lacks a school, shop or post office.
Our project has been designed to provide a facility that can be comfortably used by the very young to the older members of our community via responses from residents questionnaire replies and views expressed at 2 "Open Meetings" held in the village hall.
Steps to get it done:
The total cost including VAT is currently estimated at £60,000. Our own available funds are around £15,000 plus grant funding already pledged/received total a further £5,000.
