I am attempting to make a functional "Omni-tool" using a Raspberry Pi.

This project is to help make a Mass Effect based Omni-tool using the Raspberry Pi as the heart of the device. I'm wanting to add several scientific sensors to it, along with a touchscreen. I already have the Raspberry Pi and a powerful external battery pack for it, now I just need some money to help make the components. I'll be uploading updates and procedures on my blog.

What we'll deliver:

  • Measure temperature
  • Detect magnetic fields
  • Emit radio signals

Why it's a great idea:

The Omni-tool was based on the Mass Effect equivalent and, with time, will have similar functions to the Omni-tools in the game.

Steps to get it done:

  • Hard work
  • Careful testing of each of the new components
  • Having fun doing it! :D
