Since Covid, people have been so isolated and lonely and this has affected everyone, young and old. Also during this time, online cooking and cooking videos has really taken off so for our project we would create a cookbook (or series of cookbooks) incorporating recipes from those who have been greatly hit during this pandemic - those in care homes and old age homes. These wonderful people are so full of life and have amazing stories to tell, and what would be more fun than creating a cookbook full of delicious tried-and-tested recipes with photos, stories and tips and tricks from them. We will launch it with an online cooking demonstration, hosted by a celebrity chef, where friends, family, neighbours and all interested foodies can join in and learn to create some wonderful dishes, and even the chance to win some prizes. We will also create an an online presence and post cooking videos for everyone to enjoy, and hear stories of our neighbours and friends.

Why it's a great idea:

- to bring neighbours, friends, residents and families together around food. - to alleviate loneliness and hopelessness brought on by the pandemic and isolation - to bring the whole community closer together and learn about each other

Steps to get it done:

• Speak to managers of different care homes, residential homes and advertise the innitiative
• create permissions form for each participant
• plan the strategy for collecting the recipes/photos/data from participants
• speak to a celebrity chef for hosting the cooking demonstration at the launch
• compile all recipes/data/photos into the cookbook and agree on design
• set up social media for the project and advertise
• find suitable hosting venue for the launch party
