Growing a Greener Britain

We want to grow a greener Britain by creating or transforming green spaces across the UK.

Projects we're interested in funding

We want to see creative and innovative ideas that enhance greenery across the country, like building a park on a disused rail line in the sky, creating a community garden, or installing a wifi network in a park, whatever you think will make your local greenspace an even better place to be. We’re thinking parks, public gardens, outdoor community kitchens, city farms, cemeteries – but really it’s anything that’s got a bit of greenery that you think could do with a little sprucing up! We'll also fund projects that will give people the skills required to look after parks. Remember though, projects that are in privately owned gardens, or schools and public grounds that don’t have public access wouldn’t be eligible.

The outcomes of our fund

We want projects to create improvements to free, publicly accessible green space, as well as provide local employment opportunities through the creation of maintenance projects, provide training and work experience opportunities for those in the local community, and promote green open spaces with the local community.

Our Partners also want to help!

Our Partners are also happy to support your projects by donating landscape consumables and cutting-edge equipment including brushcutters / grass trimmers, mowers, hand tools, gloves and other personal protective equipment. When pitching to our fund let us know if you need any of the listed equipment. See the Partners tab in the About page of our Growing a Greener Movement for more information. www.spacehive.com/movement/ggb/about
