My name is Bogusha and together with my friend Sharif we are setting up a plastic recycling business which main ethos are to recycle plastic, help the environment and create new objects out of waste, like home decor or furniture. We are following the preciousplastic.com scheme and we are building the machines (shredder, extrusion, injection and compression) at our own expenses. However the process is quite expensive and we are struggling with finalising it and we'd love to get help from you, in exchange we would be happy to use our knowledge and hands-on experience to educate other people, in schools for example, and encourage them to recycle more; we also would like to engage the community to give us their plastic waste instead of throwing it in the bin where only a small percentage gets recycled by setting some collection points. I am an industrial design graduate with green design focus and my friend is an engineer and handyman.

What we'll deliver:

• show the process in schools
• manufacture parts for people in need (e.g. home accessories)
• educate about polymers

Why it's a great idea:

We live in times of big ecological crisis, and in order to avoid irreversible consequences we have to come together and give priority to environmental causes. This project will not only make people realise how precious plastic is, but also will encourage them to use less of it each time. And of course spur the creativity!

Steps to get it done:

• Buy a container, build the machines, (2 are already built) find a land

We would also like to collaborate with homeless people and give them some financial help if they help us collecting the garbage, or build some shreds for them out of recycled plastic
