The pitch at Cricklefields is in poor condition. so much so that we have to restrict the amount of games played to limit the damage to the pitch. This means we cant increase the number of youth teams attached to the club or let other users in the local community use the pitch for fear of further deterioration. The pitch needs to be completed overhauled and re-laid to ensure if can handle extra use.
What we'll deliver:
- A brand New pitch
- increase the number of young people in the area playing football for their local club
- be able to let other community groups have access to the facility
Why it's a great idea:
Ilford FC is an historic club having existed since 1881. it is in need of a resurgence and to increase its profile in the local community to encourage them to support and get involved with the club again. by having better facilities we hope to attract local kids to play football and get involved in sport in general as we also have an athletics club on site. it would be great if we could make it a hub of the local community again as it was in the past
Steps to get it done:
- Conduct a survey of the entire project and works needed
- Put Project plan in place together with a statement of works
- Invite Suitable contractors to tender for the Job
- Identify suitable contractors
- Appoint the contractor based on criteria set by the club
