The project involves replacing the existing sand pit with a new and exciting large sand play area containing pirate play galleon and boats plus other themed play equipment,to give us our 'Pirate Island'.
We also want to replace the existing old paddling pool with a fantastic and fun water splash area where kids can let off steam and play with water jets and walk through fountains.
Our under fives play area will get a make over by installing rubberised surfacing painted with road markings for them to practise their driving skills in their pedal cars!
We also want to make improvements to our outdoor eating area so that those who are less energetic, or those that just need a rest, can enjoy their refreshments and watch the fun.

We all know that physical exercise is good for children and gives them a great start to a full and active life.
It promotes well-being and a healthy lifestyle.
At a time when this issue is high on the agenda we want to do our part to inspire a generation who will find out that exercise can be lots of fun....... as well as tiring!
By providing a themed play area to stimulate the imagination; who knows, parents may get inspired too!!

VolunteerBEALE PARK WILDLIFE PARK AND GARDENS
Hi, I'm Bertie Beale, that's me in the picture!!
Beale Park is a small not for profit charity set in a 350 acre estate in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) next to The Thames just outside Pangbourne, Berkshire.
It was created by Gilbert Beale who decided to give his private farm land to the public in 1956 and create a non-profit making Charitable Trust for the enjoyment and recreation of the public. This ethos of public service carries on today.
Gilbert had a passion for breeding peacocks, and many of our older visitors still refer to us as ‘the Peacock Farm’. It is for this reason that the Peacock became the emblem of the Park.
The Park has developed considerably since those early days and The Trust now comprises a conservation wildlife park which is home to a collection of wonderful animals such as Meerkats and Ring-tailed Lemurs; colourful gardens that are continually being developed; childrens play facilities, a miniature railway, an exhibition of toys from the 50’s to the 70’s and a fascinating model boat collection.
Several years ago, the Trust decided to review its facilities and embarked on a period of renewal and refurbishment in all areas of the Park. This has been carried out largely by its small group of dedicated employees and volunteers on limited funds.
We are seeking to build on the work we have done so far and are looking to create a brand new and exciting play area for children to enjoy and would very much welcome your help and support.
