Oatlands Village Fayre has been run in our local park each May for the past fifty years, raising money to support local charities.
As well as traditional stalls we offer a programme of events in our main arena featuring dancers and musicians from local schools, a tug-of-war and, usually, a bought-in main event which helps to pull in the crowds.
Historically the generosity of local businesses has funded this event (in exchange for publicity etc.,). Sadly our previous sources of funds are unable to be as generous to us as they have been in the past so we are looking to raise money to pay for an amazing BMX display to act as an anchor for the day's events and ensure a successful fayre.

Why it's a great idea:
Having been staged every year for over 50 years the Oatlands Village Fayre is part of the fabric of Weybridge life which we want to thrive for the future benefit of our community.
The fayre has been a highly efficient way of raising much needed funds for local troups of Rainbows, Beavers, Brownies, Cubs, Guides, Scouts and other local charities. Funds raised here will help bring in up to twenty times the amount by maintaining the quality of our fayre.
Several thousand people, mainly families with children and local people come to have a great afternoon out and watch the children perform in the arena (tug of war, country dancing, steel pans etc.,) as well as see the main arena event
Children run many of the stalls and get a big kick out of coming up with novel ideas for stalls gaining life skill as well as raising money – they also learn a lot from the experience of performing in the arena in front of the crowd
Steps to get it done:
- Use the money raised to buy in a spectacular BMX display.
