What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
The Oakengates 10k and family run is a new event in Telford and is eagerly awaited by the local running community. The event is organized by Hartshill Runners, and Nice-Work race management and Oakengates Town Council. We are offering local communities the opportunity to participate in such an event and are offering families and children a free 12 week course in running fitness,to encourage them to take part in this event. We will have water stations on the fun run and the 10K route, where we be using paper cups to reduce the use of plastic bottles. Hartshill Runners was the brainchild of chairman Gary Annett. Gary worked with the local council, to obtain qualifications in running fitness/coaching. He has coached Couch to 5K programs for the local community, enabling them to be obtain a fitness level to complete a 5K run. Success of the programs have now created a new Affiliated Running club with nearly 80 members
