Northleach Pool has been the centre of the community for a long time, covid has meant that the usual maintenance and fundraising has been hard to complete. We want to be able to make the pool fit for generations to come. To do this we need funds to carry out maintenance along with updating facilities, along with training the volunteer life guard and chemical team who run the pool on a day to day basis.

What we'll deliver:

  • pool repaired and repainted
  • heating and chemical equiment fully fuctional
  • volunteer lifeguards trained
  • surroundings of the pool made safe and improved

Why it's a great idea:

Provides a pool children in the community low cost access to swimming pool, without having to travel out of the town so especially important for those with no private car access. Children learn water confidence and independence (over 8s can come without parents). The pool is also available to the primary school during the summer months with means many who would have swimming lessons get the chance to learn

Steps to get it done:

  • maintenance carried out in summer 2022
  • 10k in bank ready to open for summer 2024

Northleach pool is held in trust for the community and is ran by Friends of Northleach Swimming Pool volunteers
