We will be running x2 Community events in Norris Green, Liverpool. We plan to deliver a safe Firework and Bonfire Display in 2020 following safety that will help improve community cohesion, At the Norris Green Carnival which our Charity has successfully ran for 8 years we provide 12 stalls for local organisations: Schools, Housing Associations, Debt Advice, Dance Groups, Face painting, Charities. Skateboard sessions, bouncy castles and Carousel Rides. This event benefits many low income families who live locally who are unable to pay for transport and the cost of taking their children to a Carnival. The Bonfire & Firework Display has been managed by our Charity for 7 or more years. We work with Liverpool City Council, Police and Fire Service to provide a safe, family friendly display that is free entry. Free entry at a local green space with security, toilets onsite and tuck shop managed by a local Tenant Group.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
These events will be held on green spaces that are usually affected by anti-social behavior (ASB). The events will see more families and communities using the green spaces and reduce ASB. Information sharing of local services and groups, charities and associations. Increase the profile for the Ward and improve tourism to the area as people from across the city visit.
Steps to get it done:
If you are interested in taking part in the Carnival or having a stall please get in touch.
