Needingworth's Community Music Festival brings local performers and community groups together for an annual, family-friendly village-wide summer celebration! 2021 is our 25th anniversary.

NFEST is Needingworth's annual music community festival, which generates vital funds to maintain our Village Hall - a registered charity -and is delivered entirely by volunteers. This year, entry remains free as usual but uncertainty around Covid means we are asking for your help early to ensure we can cover out core running costs. We're crowdfunding here to help pay for our marquee hire - our biggest single item of expenditure. Our remaining costs will be met by the charity and through sales of refreshments over the weekend. It's a special year for the festival itself, which turns 25 this year. So we've created 'NFEST REWIND' and invited back many of our best loved local acts from down the years! Saturday has back to back live bands and Sunday is families day, with acoustic performance. Covid permitting, activities and refreshments will be provided by the Village Hall, our local pre-school and Church and Community groups.

NFEST helps to: - maintain our Village Hall - giving community groups a space to meet and run activities for villagers all year round - give a platform to local acts and performers to share their music and talents - provide free and low-cost summer activities for local residents and their families - put our Village on the map!

VolunteerNeedingworth Communtiy Music Festival is an annual, two-day celebration of local music and community, running since the mid 1990s and this year celebrating it's 25th anniversary.
The Festival is the main annual fundraising event for the Needingworth Village Hall Trust, a registered charity (number 1047395). Any funds generated across the NFEST weekend support essential running and maintence costs for the Hall, which is used all year round by many local groups, clubs and associations. The Festival is organised by a sub-committee of the Village Hall's Board of Trustees.
The Festival is run entirely by volunteers and we work hard to keep costs to a minimum so we can keep it free to enter for local people and their families, as well as music lovers from across the County. In normal years we invite cash donations on site to help cover our costs, but this year Covid has made planning our festival much harder.
That's why we're crowdfunding, to help ensure the Festival can go ahead. We're seeking to cover only the Festival's basic running costs through this campaign - the hire of our marquee and sound equipment, key site facilities and our health and safety requirements. If we can achieve this, we can be confident in our planning (even if Covid throws a spanner in the works). If we can't, sadly, this year's Festival will probably have to be cancelled.
We do this entirely for our local community and want to be as transparent as possible, so if you have any questions please send them to us and we will update our info and FAQs in the run up to this year's Festival.
