A new play area for the children of Middleton and wider communities will benefit them socially, emotionally, imaginatively and physically. The current playground has been closed down due to safety.

We are a community of people who have grown up and live in Middleton and would love bring a brand new sustainable playground to the village green to replace the old one that has grown tired and has been shut down for safety reasons. There are so many babies and young children in our village and our aim is to provide them with a fun and sustainable playground that will get the children outside, exercising, socialising, playing, imagining and learning with one another. The playground we are designing will be accessible and benefit babies up to older children.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
There are over 100 babies and young children in Middleton that would benefit from the playground. There are even more children who visit family and come from surrounding villages to do our village circular walk and view the historic sites and landscapes. We hold annual summer fetes and events at the green where the playground is situated and many classes at the village hall. It would be fantastic to have a thoughtfully designed playground in the heart of the village green. Unfortunately the Parish Council can't fund the entire project so we are seeking funding as a community.
