My name is tom and I'm a partially sighted person, I've never been able to play mainstream sport because of my sight issues however when I got word that blind cricket was a thing I got really curious and started playing when I was 12 years old, im now 17 and playing for national teams. I'm a student at new college Worcester for the blind and partially sighted and Ive set up the new blind cricket team. we had applied for funding to help support the team with new equipment to Allow them to play the game and to see how it feels taking part in sport. unfortuantly the grant was denied on the grounds it wasn't a good enough cause which I believe is completley false. The players I coach in the team have spectacular potential but without the right equipment and support they will never be able to progress. The sport also allows people who suffer from other issues such as mental health and social issues to improve their self esteem please help and donate to us.
