The farm works with children and adults with SEN. The pens for the (mainly rescued) animals are old. New fencing will ensure a safer environment for both people and the animals.

We take in a wide range of animals including those harder to re-home such as male dairy goats destined for slaughter, micro x kune kune pigs destined for slaughter, unwanted pet rabbits, degus, peacocks, turtles and ex race horses and an ex breeding mare. The new goats can jump the damaged, old, standard height stock wire plus rails, therefore we need to re-fence their field with four foot foot stock wire plus post and rail. The horse fields need new fencing in many places. This fencing needs to be strong to cope with ex race horses pushing on it.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Many youth need vocational placements which allow them to thrive and realize that there are many vocational jobs available to them. This project will enable students to learn how to put up different types of fencing, work in a team, communication, self worth, etc. Once the new pens up completed the care farm will have a safe, professional space where students can learn animal husbandry. The rescue animals will have safe, secure, beautiful new pens.
Steps to get it done:
This project will provide much needed animal pens for our clients for years to come!
