We want to help small projects make a big difference to their communities. If you think your project could create a better environment, or help those suffering from the pandemic to bounce back, we want to hear from you.
We will generally seek to fund properly constituted not-for-profit organisations, such as charities, community groups and schools. However, we will also consider smaller groups as appropriate. We welcome applications from projects from across the UK but priority will be given to those based in the areas where we work with the Local Authority to deliver household recycling and waste services. These include the following boroughs: Watford, Brent, Haringey, Westminster, Southwark, Lambeth, Richmond, Kingston, Merton, Sutton, Croydon, Bromley, The City of London, Wokingham, Wyre, Chesterfield, Amber Valley, Warwick, Stafford, Northampton, Broadlands, Tendring, Southend-on-Sea, Essex, St Albans, Harlow, Greenwich.
We are particularly interested in projects which:
1. Improve parks green spaces within The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea (RBKC), particularly around the Westway . Examples of improvements include: Planting or looking after trees and plants, growing food and encouraging natural habitats for wildlife.
2. Encourage residents to be active outdoors, to visit parks and green spaces and take part in healthy activities. Eligible initiatives include: The creation of, or improvement to, facilities which enable people to be active outdoors, special events, sporting and leisure activities, clean-up and gardening projects.
1. Places and spaces that people can enjoy that are greener and more attractive. Transforming un-loved pockets of the local area, or improving RBKC’s existing green spaces and natural environments.
2. Events or activities that encourage people to go out, be active, get fit and get involved in activities.
