If you've got a project idea which will help our local communities, then we want to hear from you. Just make sure your project has significant local support and a local need.
This funding round we're especially interested in supporting projects which focus on the below areas:
Promotion of the arts
Homelessness support
Community engagement and regeneration
However, we're interested in all new and innovative project ideas which will help benefit local communities in the Vale.
We want the Our Vale fund to empower residents to: play a greater role in shaping their communities; further AVDC's objectives to make places better; meet demonstrable community needs; and encourage strong community support and involvement.
Projects don’t have to address all of the above, but when we are reviewing applications for funding we’ll be looking for projects which can best support these points.
1. Share your idea with the Spacehive team via this short form for some quick feedback and advice.
2. Create a project page on Spacehive outlining your idea
3. Get matched to the Our Vale fund and others
4. Pitch for a pledge from our fund by 10th February
5. Your project will be verified to check the costs and permissions
6. Start your crowdfunding campaign asap and demonstrate local support for your project through your backers before our review of pitches.
7. Projects will be reviewed by the panel in mid-March. If your pitch is successful, we'll pledge to your project during your live campaign
8. Hit your target and get the project up and running!

The fund is designed to be as inclusive as possible and help those projects operating with in Aylesbury Vale who have found it difficult to benefit from traditional grant funding.
In order to apply, you MUST fulfil the following basic eligibility criteria:
Operate within Aylesbury Vale
Be “not for profit” with clearly stated aims and objectives.
The project must have a civic value and be open and accessible to the community.
Cash: Up to £2,500 pledged directly to your project on Spacehive. Skills: GLL Qualified Instructors & Coaches, staff time, specialist expertise to help you develop or deliver your project idea. Stuff: Use of our facilities, free activities (Swimming, Gym e.t.c), monthly membership discounts, Internal training places.
If your project will make an improvement to a public open space, then we can consider it. The open space could be a park, playing field, recreation ground, playground, nature reserve, wood or even a cemetery.
The space must be freely accessible to all members of the public, so we can’t fund private schools, or allotments, or anything where access is restricted or you have to pay to get in. The improvement could be better facilities (a new swing), or making it look more attractive (new plants and shrubs) or making it easier for everyone to enjoy (wheelchair access) or making it more of a home for wildlife (bug hotels).
We only offer funding in areas where idverde already works for the Council or your local Housing Association. You can see a list of our locations here, but if you see our vans driving around, you're probably in luck!
We are keen to support projects that improve local green spaces or the public realm, enhance the local environment, and boost the wellbeing of local people.
