{{ 'About' | translate }} #MakeHull

#MakeHull was created by the MakeHull Pioneers, a group of Hull businesses who came together to support making Hull the best city it can be. They have together contributed over £50k to help make your projects happen. We are looking for your ideas to #MakeHull No matter what the idea, however big or small, if it makes Hull a better place to be then we want to make it happen. Once you have an idea, create a project on Spacehive. Your project will first be verified and you will then be able to start fundraising towards your target, gaining support from your family, friends and the local community to make sure your project happen. The MakeHull Pioneers will assess each project and for the best projects will pledge an amount up to £5,000 towards your fundraising goal.

Hessle RUFC are looking for your support during these unprecedented times. As many of you know, the rugby club has been an integral part of the local community for over 100 years, providing playing and training opportunities for both adults and children. The club runs solely on donations and subscriptions, which we have been unable to collect due to the clubs closure, along with our other fundraising streams which we are unable to pursue, due to the crisis. Any funds raised will go towards the general running of the club for the upcoming season, essential maintenance to the pitches and rugby club facilities, as well as our continued commitment to the junior section and their progression through the sport. Please help in anyway you can and if you require any information, please let us know.

The funds raised from this will be used to continue to carry out essential maintenance on the wicket which will provide a quality playing surface for years to come. Even with no cricket currently been played, work on the playing surface still has to continue ready for a return to cricket for all age groups. Funds would also be used in our continued commitment to junior cricket as we look to purchase new equipment to deliver training sessions again once it is safe to do so. Normally these funds would be generated through annual and weekly subscriptions and other fundraising which is currently not happening during this crisis.

The Club requires funding to complete its new build. With no matches being played the Club has lost a big source of income, together with no fundraising activities to supplement this income, e.g. no Race Night. We wish to use this source to enable us to complete the building.
