We are looking to develop a room within the Club which offers a "safe" space for members. A space where young people can feel comfortable - eg use computer facilities for homework and such

We have an out building which is in need of complete renovation and refurbishment. We plan to use the facilities to create a safe and comfortable environment where any of our Members can relax and use our laptop even for topics such as homework. The space will also be used by the Club's Welfare Officer as required and potentially for Committee Meetings. This is all integral to our plans to work closely with local community bodies such as the Council and Schools and will be particularly aimed at younger people who may be facing challenges in their lives.

Why it's a great idea:
Many people, particularly younger face challenges in their lives. Through sport, in this case boxing, we aim to help create a meaningful path for individuals to improve their circumstances from people who are bullied to those who may have conditions such as autism and also people who may have been in trouble with authorities - schools, law enforcement etc.
