My family have dreamt of rescuing animals and creating a calm place for all kinds of people to come and enjoy the natural surroundings in whatever way suits them. This historical Mill is by the sea and is too beautiful for flats or keeping to one person. We want to restore it and share it with the local community whether passing from a dog walk and stopping for a cuppa in the old mill room cafe or hiring the barn for a wedding. We want to provide schools with the opportunity to visit our small farm area and learn about the animals and come back for holiday camp sessions in Arts and crafts and woodland survival skills. Even the local yoga teacher would have a place to retreat and teach classes in peace! The finished product will be a beautiful barn for hire, a 2 bedroom holiday let thatched cottage which will also serve as a honeymoon suite for weddings, a renovation of the original mill house with all its features to include a cafe area in the original mill and eco friendly elements.

What we'll deliver:

  • open up to the community
  • renovate the main house
  • purchase the property

Why it's a great idea:

The local area needs somewhere safe for people to visit and especially for the children of the community to come and experience nature and woodland. We would encourage families to come and spend quality time with themed night such as camping and star gazing and open air cinema nights. We would provide a beautiful cafe for the older generation in the area and serve the needs of Parents and adults who need time a way too with date nights and evening classes. We would rescue animals and provide a home for them as well as providing local artists with an outdoor space to showcase their work.

Steps to get it done:

We would work with schools alongside their projects and invite schools from further afield to visit the sea and woodland for workshops and/or camp residential trips
