We want to bring isolated people with memory loss together with refreshments, appropriate exercise, games and easy art exercises and music- and fun and laughter! We also want people to bring their interests, opinions and memories. People have great life stories, personal histories and experiences. And shared similar experiences build bridges among people of diverse ethnic and faith groups. Memory loss cuts across the diverse groups in Tower Hamlets community.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Memory loss can happen at any age. The effects of long Covid and/or a trauma can effect a person’s memory. The regular cafe meetings develop community among diverse groups, reduce isolation for guest, build up confidence and self esteem, and keep their senses and mind alive and active
Steps to get it done:
There are no other memory cafes in the local area. Relatives can be exhausted by concern and care for those with memory loss. Regular Memory Cafe gatherings give a consistent routine for guests and a outside contact for relatives.
