The idea would be for me to teach DJ workshops for the young and show them how to download music of their type, what equipment to buy and how to buy it, how to look after your equipment, how to perform infront of a crowd, music genre, beat matching etc. Potential pathway to a successful career traveling the world doing what you love. I will guide them step by step on how to present yourself when DJing whether your precasting or playing a gig to a large crowd.

Why it's a great idea:
My idea is based on my experience of teaching so far, as i mentioned before young children need stimulating, need a vision and need a focus, especially the more vulnerable, they become more confident in life generally, maintaining a less stressful routine to their lives, having a focus is important in life, and music, especially DJ music can give this to them.
Steps to get it done:
Once again from my experience in teaching music to young and old I have seen amazing results in school work, social life and well being, and it makes me feel amazing finishing a class of very happy students that want to learn more. Its an amazing transformation that i would like to see more off, not just for mainstream but for the vulnerable children in the care system too. Thank you for your time. Pete

VolunteerMy name is Pete, I live in Brighton with my 18 year old daughter and have done for over 15 years.
I am a musician and a music teacher, I also DJ with a global recognised artist, which gave me the idea on which I am pitching for.
I would like to take my skills as a proffesional DJ and approach children's care homes etc for teaching workshops on 'How to be a DJ'
I have been teaching music for over 5 years and love that side of my work, I currently work in a primary school teaching young pupils how to play the guitar, I also have 7 of my own students I teach on a freelance basis in my studio at home.
I love using all my skill and knowledgde teaching young and old students on how to create music on any level.
I would like to hold workshops within these care homes for the young and vulnrable so they have something to focus on, music is a big part of most peoples lives and especially the young, where they can submerge themseles within the beauty of music if taught right and with fun.
From my experience in teaching music I have gained knowledge in the fact that when young people learn an instrument or music in genarel, their whole life can change for the better, school work and focus increases, sociably they become more comfortable with more confidence to just be who they want to be, and they become more happy within every day life, and I try and instill this within my teaching techniques, which works wonders, I make evry session as fun as possible whilst gaining valuable knowledge within their field of expertise.
