Empowering people to improve their green spaces, enhance their environment, and boost wellbeing.
To engage in a meaningful way with the local youth, providing them with resources, a space, and the tuition to engage in music making, including; song - writing, learning to play different instruments as well as sound engineering (live and recording). We aspire to provide a creative space in which young people of Enfield and surrounding areas will feel safe to express themselves and raise their levels of aspiration and inspiration. We believe there is a wealth of talent in our young people. This energy needs to be channeled in a positive way so their self esteem, confidence and academic abilities can be raised. This will be a long term project that will bring the community together through music and other forms of education.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
This project is a great idea because Majestic aim to meet the pressing need to engage with youths in Enfield. Sadiq Khan recently said “Young people, rather than having constructive things to do, join gangs and think it’s OK to pick up knives.” We hope to encourage local youth who have an interest music and arts to become involved. Part of this project will be getting the candidates up test standard and sending them for music theory and practical exams with ABRSM (The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) We aim to bring all candidate to a minimum of grade 3 standard which is equivalent to 1 GCSE. The communal garden is also a great ideas because residents of Enfield will have use a beautiful garden space, those living in urban areas and don't have a garden of their own will particularly benefit from this. The initial aim of Majestic Sound Works is to bring the community, young and old together through music and creative arts.
