We are a group of local residents and workers and would like to host a Little Hulton Festival / a celebration weekend within Peel Park In Sept 2017 The Lowry will be bringing the Roundabout - a pop up theatre in Peel Park M38, we would like to build on this and to make it a wider celebration involving a wider community aspect and want to make sure that a board range of people from Little Hulton benefit from the Roundabout project We want to host a wider festival to encourage more of the local community to engage and as such we would like to include music, dancing and family entertainment to appeal to all ages and communities. In order to truly celebrate this unique occasion we would host a variety of craft, food and soft drink stalls along with a range of activities to suit all ages. We would promote this to local traders and small businesses so any profit stays within the local area.
What we'll deliver:
Why it's a great idea:
Hosting a community celebration event will help to strengthen the community and community pride within the area, which in turn will bring together a sense of wellbeing through the increase of pride. The main event will take place on Peel Park, which is an underused resource in the area, this event will encourage more people into the park and to build on groups such as Friends of the Park group.
