In essence, the Truro Lifehouse (10 10 project) is our desire to help the people of Truro and Cornwall with life. At the moment, living in a time of austerity, all we seem to hear about is cuts and the loss of facilities. This project is first about us saying we are taking back control, and that we are going to do something to really impact the lives in our community. The current facilities are tired and not fit for purpose, yet we are still able to offer a home for some crucial services, such as: Truro Foodbank, Kernow Credit Union, Acts 435, Addiction Services, Bereavement Groups for those effected by suicide, Friendship groups for the isolated and lonely, Truro Memory Cafe, Singing for the Brain, Cornwall Childrens Clothes Bank, Cornwall Refugee Resettlement Network, Cornwall Fairtrade Hub. Although we provide space for these important groups we cannot sustain this without a total redevelopment of the site. Other groups that use the premises are:

What we'll deliver:

  • To build the Truro Lifehouse

Why it's a great idea:

We need your help to develop a purpose built community facility that encourages the good work of these important groups, and supports the people they seek to serve. The vision for this new facility is that it will be designed for the most vulnerable in mind, and will allow our partner organisations to flourish in what they do.
