Legacy Centre is a hub for the community, made up of different creative spaces, people can come and meet together, work together, build projects together. It's a place of creativity, inspiration and encouragement. Free wifi and access to refreshments, centre members can stay for one hour or stay all day to work on whatever it is they feel is their legacy. Open to all groups within our local town, the centre is meant to bring people together for the purpose of benefitting our community.
What we'll deliver:
- Open a building for the community to use
- Create an inspirational environment to work in
- Give access to all community groups
- Provide a space for not for profit organisations
- Provide help and support for businesses
Why it's a great idea:
The community spirit that once was the glue that held us together has over the years broken down, this is a fantastic, innovative project that seeks to rebuild the connections and passions in our community. Bringing people together can only do one thing ; create positive legacys.
Steps to get it done:
- Employment of a centre manager
- Full utilisation of the building weekly
- Signing the building lease
- Fifty members of the hub
- Support from outside organisations
It will do all of this above
